After the success of the three Summer Schools in Social Statistics in Bressanone (2021), Capri (2022) and Petralia Sottana (2023) we are happy to announce that this year the 4th Summer School in Social Statistics will be held in Monteriggioni (Siena) - Monumental complex of Abbadia a Isola - in the Montagnola Senese, from September 19th to September 21st 2024. The official languages of the school will be Italian and English. The school mainly targets young scholars and PhD students, but Master's degree students interested in Social Statistics topics are also welcome. This year the topic of the School is:
Causal inference for social research and policy evaluation.

Fees
Attendance is free of charge and the organisation provides accommodation, coffee breaks and lunches. Participants have to bear the costs of travel and dinners. The selected participants have to bring their own laptops.
The school is supported by the University of Siena (Department of Economics and Statistics), the University of Venice (Department of Economics), the University of Florence (Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications "G. Parenti"), the University of Salerno (Department of Political and Social Studies) and Municipality of Monteriggioni that provides the premises free of charge.

Registration
Up to 25 participants will be admitted on the base of their CV.
The deadline for registration is 30th June 2024. Notification of participation in the school will be given by 15st July.

The hostel offers rooms with capacities ranging from 4 to 10 beds with bathroom. The allocation of participants to rooms will be managed by the local organizing committee, taking into account the preferences of participants.
